ASSOC. PROF. DR BERİL YÜKSEL

Combining extensive IVF experience with a scientific approach.

After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr Beril Yüksel completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ankara Dr Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health and Research Hospital.

Since 2009, she has continued her clinical work in women’s health, infertility, IVF and assisted reproductive treatments.

In 2012, she participated in research in robotic surgery and urogynaecology at Tufts University Baystate Medical Center in the United States.

Following her work at the IVF and Reproductive Genetics Centre of Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul, she has continued her clinical practice at Ventus IVF since January 2024.

Her scientific interests include assisted reproductive treatments, reproductive endocrinology, preimplantation genetic testing and AI-supported IVF systems.

IVF EXPERIENCE 2009 and counting
THE VALUE OF EXPERIENCE

Experience is more than the number of years that have passed.

Working with different patient profiles, varying responses to treatment and particularly complex IVF cases continually develops clinical assessment and decision-making experience.

Every challenging case teaches us to look at the next patient in greater detail.

IVF outcomes are not determined by a single factor. Age, ovarian reserve, sperm characteristics, previous treatment responses, embryo development and accompanying clinical conditions should be evaluated together.

Managing diverse and particularly challenging cases over the years supports a more systematic review of details that may have been overlooked in previous treatment, comparison of treatment responses and development of a new patient-specific strategy.

The aim is not simply to repeat the same protocol, but to use previous experience to identify a more appropriate approach for each patient.
01
Long-term IVF experience

Clinical experience in assisted reproduction since 2009.

02
Complex cases

Patients requiring more detailed assessment, including those with low ovarian reserve, advanced reproductive age and repeated treatment failure.

03
Review of previous cycles

Joint review of previous medication responses, oocyte numbers, transfers and treatment outcomes.

02 CLINICAL
EXPERTISE & CLINICAL PRACTICE

The clinical pathway from patient assessment to embryo transfer.

These areas describe the IVF processes assessed, planned and managed clinically by the physician, rather than laboratory procedures.

01 IVF PLANNING

Infertility Assessment and Personalised IVF Planning

Age, ovarian reserve, hormone results, semen analysis and previous pregnancy and treatment history are evaluated together to develop a personalised treatment strategy.

02 CYCLE MANAGEMENT

Ovarian Stimulation and Treatment Monitoring

Planning the medication protocol according to ovarian reserve and previous responses, with cycle monitoring by ultrasound and other clinically indicated assessments.

03 OPU

Oocyte Retrieval

Performing ultrasound-guided oocyte retrieval once the follicles have reached appropriate development.

04 TRANSFER

Endometrial Preparation and Embryo Transfer

Assessment of the endometrium, determination of transfer timing and transfer of the embryo prepared by the embryology team into the uterus.

05 DONATION PROGRAMMES

Clinical Management of Donation Treatment

Clinical assessment, preparation, treatment planning and transfer management for patients undergoing egg, sperm or embryo donation and tandem programmes.

06 COMPLEX IVF CASES

Repeated Treatment Failure and Complex IVF Cases

Reassessment of cases involving repeated IVF failure, low ovarian reserve, advanced maternal age, endometriosis, adenomyosis or an inadequate response to previous treatments.

IVF
MULTIDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT

Clinical decisions and laboratory procedures have distinct but coordinated roles.

ICSI, embryo culture, embryo freezing, embryo biopsy and other embryology laboratory procedures are carried out by the relevant embryology and laboratory team. The physician interprets these data within the patient’s clinical treatment plan.

SPECIAL CLINICAL INTERESTS

Patient groups requiring more detailed assessment

Repeated IVF failure Low ovarian reserve Low AMH Advanced maternal age Recurrent pregnancy loss Endometriosis Adenomyosis Cases requiring PGT Oocyte-development problems Embryo-development problems
