Demet Varlı
Patient Communication · Process Management · IVF Patient Experience
Drawing on her experience in the IVF sector since 2009, she supports patients in accessing accurate information, understanding each stage of their treatment journey and maintaining clear, reassuring communication with the centre.
Viewing treatment not simply as a process, but as the patient’s entire journey.
Demet Varlı has worked actively in the IVF sector since 2009, gaining experience with different physicians, teams and organisations in reproductive medicine.
This extensive experience has given her insight not only into the internal operation of fertility centres, but also into the questions, concerns, decision-making processes and communication needs of couples throughout treatment.
She studied Business Administration at Anadolu University and Hospital Management at Istanbul University, and has continued her professional development in patient relations, process management and business development.
As Business Development Unit Coordinator at Ventus IVF, she contributes to the development of the patient experience, internal coordination and service processes.
Over the years, you learn not only the processes, but also what people need.
IVF patients may ask similar questions, but every patient’s journey, expectations, concerns and communication needs are different.
Good patient communication begins with understanding what the patient is really trying to ask.
During IVF, couples may be managing medical decisions, timing, travel, costs, expectations about results and emotional uncertainty all at the same time.
Working with a wide range of patient profiles over many years helps build a clearer understanding of which information matters at each stage, which questions need more explanation and when a patient should be directed to the appropriate professional.
Involved in patient and organisational processes in assisted reproduction since 2009.
Long-standing communication experience with diverse patient profiles and families.
A coordination approach that helps patients reach the right team and the right information at the right time.
Continuous communication from the first question through post-treatment follow-up.
The role of patient coordination is not to make medical decisions, but to facilitate communication between the patient and the treatment team and help the process remain clear and understandable.

How information is communicated matters as much as the information itself.
For some patients, IVF can be a long, complex and emotionally demanding process. Clear, calm and understandable communication can help the journey feel more manageable.
Understanding what the patient wants to communicate before making assumptions about their needs.
Explaining processes as simply and clearly as possible.
Remembering that every patient’s IVF journey can be different.
Supporting resolution by directing the issue to the appropriate team.
It is important that each question is answered by the appropriate specialist.
Medical assessments and treatment decisions are made by our physicians, while embryology-laboratory assessments are carried out by our embryologists. Our patient-coordination team helps patients reach the right information and the appropriate member of the team.
