Çağrı Oğur, PhD
Clinical Molecular Biologist · Ventus IVF
More than 20 years of experience in reproductive genetics, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and clinical genomics, including genetic counselling, complex case planning and the integration of advanced reproductive technologies into multidisciplinary treatment pathways.
Translating genetic information appropriately into fertility treatment.
Çağrı Oğur is a clinical molecular biologist with more than 20 years of experience in reproductive genetics, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and clinical genomics.
He graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Boğaziçi University, completed a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Boğaziçi University and earned his PhD in Bioengineering at Yıldız Technical University.
He began his professional career in 2003 at the Memorial IVF and Reproductive Genetics Centre and later completed advanced PGT training in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
Throughout his career, he has worked as a clinical molecular biologist, laboratory and quality manager and scientific director, and has taken active responsibility for the establishment and licensing of genetics laboratories.
Experience that connects laboratory data with clinical meaning.
Accurate interpretation of genetic results requires more than reading a test report; family history, carrier status, embryo genetics and the treatment plan must be considered together.
When genetic data are interpreted in the appropriate clinical context, they become a powerful part of treatment planning.
At Ventus IVF, his work includes genetic counselling and review of genetic reports, PGT-M and PGT-SR case planning, interpretation of carrier-screening results, donor genetic matching and integration of complex genetic findings into fertility treatment.
He supports integrated, patient-specific decision-making by coordinating multidisciplinary work across genetics, clinical and embryology teams.
Long-standing clinical laboratory experience in reproductive genetics, PGT and clinical genomics.
Management experience in the establishment, licensing, quality systems and operations of genetics laboratories.
University teaching experience, presentations at national and international congresses, and more than 700 scientific citations.
Integrating genetic findings into the treatment journey.
At Ventus IVF, genetic assessment includes reviewing family history, test results, PGT planning, carrier screening and donor matching together with the clinical and embryology teams.
